Teamwork beyond the workplace

Ville Vipers strike strong in tournament debut

Congratulations to the Ville Vipers, who made a sensational debut at the Jennifer Board Memorial Cup on 5th July, finishing Runners-Up in the Social League — and leaving a lasting impression on and off the field!
Formed by passionate team members from across The Ville Precinct, the Vipers brought heart, humour, and plenty of VIIBES to every game. Their journey was nothing short of epic:
Game 1: 8–1 win over Chiefs 1 (Townsville Correctional Centre)
Game 2: Took Down Dusty Boots 4–0, flying to the top of the ladder
Game 3: Drew 3–3 with reigning champs Hasbeens, knocking them out of the comp
Semi-Final: Sailed through with a massive 14–1 victory against Chiefs 2
Final: A hard-fought battle against Hammer Athletic, finishing 0–3
Despite the final result, the Vipers were the only team to lose just one game all day – a stellar effort and a debut to be proud of!
The event also raised important funds for Angel Paws, and we were honoured to have our team represent The Precinct at such a meaningful community event.
A special thank you to Tim, our CEO, for cheering on the team during their first match, and to the supporters who came down throughout the day!
The Ville Vipers will be back, stronger than ever in 2026!

The Ville x TAFE: Serving up opportunities

On Saturday 12 July, TAFE Queensland was the official game day sponsor for the Cowboys vs. Bulldogs home game, and The Ville was proud to partner with them for a community-focused activation inside the stadium.
Together, we delivered a mocktail tasting station, offering attendees a refreshing experience while showcasing the exciting career pathways available across The Ville precinct. The activation was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community and shine a spotlight on the rewarding opportunities within the hospitality industry.
We were proudly represented by team members from across the business, including Portia Di Bella and Rae Jiang from Marketing, Chris Pearce from Table Games, and Lily Hooper from Food & Beverage. Each of them volunteered their time to share their experiences and support conversations around recruitment and career development at The Ville precinct.
The activation was a great success, and we’re proud to have been part of it. A big thank you to our team for their passion, professionalism, and for proudly representing The Ville in our local community.
